Founded in 1909 on the estate of industrialist Albert Feyerick in Sint-Martens-Latem, Royal Latem Golf Club is one of the oldest and most respected golf clubs in Belgium. Originally known as Les Buttes Blanches, the course was built on ancient sandy dunes covered with broom. The layout was first designed by Geo Pannell and later refined by renowned architect Fred Hawtree, with further modern updates by Martin Hawtree. Set within an elegant parkland landscape surrounded by villas, the technical 18-hole course rewards precision and thoughtful strategy. Royal Latem has hosted several major tournaments, including three Belgian Opens in the 1950s, and remains a highly regarded private club within Belgian golf.
