Founded in 1903, Royal Ostend Golf Club is Belgium’s only authentic links course, laid out by Seymour Dunn on a narrow stretch of coastal dunes near De Haan along the North Sea. The course was destroyed during both World Wars but was rebuilt each time, preserving the tradition of links golf on this historic coastline. In 1990, Martin Hawtree carefully renovated the layout, respecting the original design while adapting it to modern play. Set within protected dune landscapes, the course is defined by firm, fast-running turf, natural undulations and ever-present coastal winds. Royal Ostend remains one of continental Europe’s purest links experiences, where strategy and control are essential.
As an official partner of The Centenary, this club's members benefit from an exclusive world-wide network of like-minded and reputable historic clubs. Through this reciprocal partnership, members can enjoy playing privileges at prestigious centenary clubs across the globe.
