For your board

What signing the LOI actually commits you to.

The LOI does commit you to
  • Expressing genuine interest in joining
  • Allowing The Centenary to mention your club's name to other clubs
  • Paying £250 / €250 / $250 in 2026 (pilot) — per playing member fee in 2027
  • Motivating members to activate their account once the platform is live
The LOI does not commit you to
  • Any payment now — fee is only due when the pilot in 2026 starts
  • Any obligation if 25 clubs do not sign
  • Giving up control over who visits your course
  • Changing your existing reciprocal arrangements
Why now

Founding clubs shape the network.

The first 25 clubs are not just early adopters — they co-govern The Centenary. They have a formal say in which clubs are admitted, how the per-member fee is set from 2027, and how any surplus beyond operating costs is allocated.

01

Co-determine the 2027 per-member fee structure together with the other founding clubs

02

Permanent "Founding Club" status on the platform and in all communications

03

Pilot fee of £500 / €500 — a fraction of what the per-member model will cost at scale

04

First access to the member dashboard, analytics, and the Centenary Verified badge

Non-profit

This is not a commercial venture.

The Centenary operates as a non-profit. All revenue in the first years is reinvested in the platform. After that, 50% of any surplus is donated to pre-selected charities or redistributed to clubs — with founding clubs having a formal say in how.

The platform is built and run by Jeroen Korving (founder of Leading Courses, active in golf since 2007) and Leonard van Nunen (Brand Evangelist at Leading Courses, Golf Course Architect Apprentice). Together they have visited and reviewed over 1,100 golf courses worldwide.
