Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to all users of The Centenary platform. By using the site, you agree to the conditions below.

1. Who We Are

The Centenary is a not-for-profit organisation helping historic golf clubs connect and thrive through digital innovation.

2. Membership Eligibility

Access to The Centenary is only available to individuals who are current members of participating Centenary golf clubs. We will verify your membership with your home club. If your status changes (e.g. resignation, unpaid fees, suspension), you are obliged to inform us about any change. Such a change may imply that access to the platform will be revoked or terminated.

3. Personal & Secure Access

Your membership is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your account, login links, or your club’s unique registration URL with anyone else. Doing so may result in the termination of your access.

4. Login & Security

We use secure email-based login (“magic links”) instead of passwords. It is your responsibility to protect access to your email account, preferably by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). We are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from compromised email accounts.

5. Use of Information

While we aim to ensure that all information on our site is accurate and current, we cannot guarantee this at all times. Decisions made using the content on this site are at your own risk.

6. External Links

Our platform may include links to other websites. These are provided for your convenience, but we do not control or endorse external content and accept no responsibility for it.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Centenary is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, participation in reciprocal play, or access to member services. All activity is undertaken at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and design on The Centenary website is protected and may not be used without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Privacy & Data

We are committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the new Terms. Last updated: June 16, 2025.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
