Clubs can now display an independently verifiable founding date badge across digital channels.
The Centenary is proud to introduce the Verified Badge — an independent mark that confirms a golf club's founding year and its place among the world's historic clubs. The badge is unique to each club and can be embedded on your website, member portal, and in digital communications.
What is the Verified Badge?
A digital seal issued by The Centenary after we verify a club's founding date. Each badge is generated with a secure, club-specific token and delivered as a simple embed so you can place it wherever it adds the most trust and visibility.
How to qualify
- Your club must be at least 100 years old.
- Provide documented proof of the founding year (e.g., official records, publications, or other reliable sources).
- Our team reviews submissions and, once approved, your badge is issued and your club profile is updated.
Learn more about the badge and process on our dedicated page: The Centenary Verified Badge.
How to display your badge
- Website: Embed it on your homepage, history page, or member area.
- Newsletters & social: Use it in digital comms to showcase your heritage.
- Clubhouse (optional): You can also use the artwork to create a physical plaque.

Why it matters
Historic claims can be confusing or disputed. The Verified Badge offers a neutral, fact-checked recognition of your club's founding year, helping members, guests and partners appreciate your legacy with confidence. It also connects your club visibly to a global network of verified historic peers.
